The Lord Provides...

His Divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. 2 Peter 1:3

After getting married in the spring and moving in to our home in Bloomington, we immediately began working diligently on support raising in May, hoping to finish by the time fall semester began in September. By God’s providence, He did just that and brought in all our support by the middle of August! We had a wonderful summer meeting with friends who are excited about our ministry and speaking at several congregations. It’s so encouraging to see God provide for us through His people and so uplifting to spend time with loved ones, dear friends, and family.

After the Lord provided our support team in the middle of August, we settled more permanently in to Bloomington and began a week of staff meetings with the IU Campus Crusade staff team. During this time, the eleven of us prayed, discussed, and brainstormed extensively how to reach the campus most effectively for Christ. Then, near the end of the week, we structured our plan for how the Lord was leading us to “attack” the campus. Megan was excited to find out that she’ll be working with women in the dorms of the central area of campus, and Brandon was able to bounce ideas off other staff men about his strategy to reach fraternity men for Christ. Also, our director informed Megan that she’ll be overseeing the women’s ministry, which we’re very excited about! We also, at this time, discussed material we’ll use in our student Bible studies for the upcoming year. Not only did we accomplish a lot with our team during the planning meetings, but we enjoyed growing closer and getting to know those we’ll be serving with better [see picture]. God’s truly blessed us with a wonderful team!

Prayer requests:

·     For God to draw freshmen at IU to Himself

·     For the Lord to work in fraternity houses, specifically for Evan, Brandon, T.J., Adam, Tyler, Kyle, and Ryan

·     For God to work through Megan as she leads the women’s ministry, also for the women she’ll work with in central campus: Nikki, Heidi, Whitney, Amber, Kari, Joanna, and Kara

·   For God to move through a motivational speaker outreach Brandon will lead in three fraternities at the end of September

Ready to Roll...

The university is the clear fulcrum with which to move the world. More potently than by any other means, change the university and you change the world.” Dr. Charles Malik, Past President, United Nations General Assembly

As we write to you, we officially have the first week of ministry under our belts. The Lord has blessed us with a great start to the fall semester! It’s been so exciting to meet with students, catch up with them, and hear what the Lord did in their hearts over the summer. It’s been especially exciting for Megan to be with college students again after having raised support for over a year! The first two weeks of the fall semester are extremely busy for us and all the members of our staff team because it’s so strategic and important to rally their interest in becoming involved with church and Campus Crusade from the very start. Each day of the week last week, we met early for brief planning meetings, then for the rest of the day, we were on campus passing out flyers, “chalking” the campus on sidewalks to advertise our weekly meeting, and asking students to fill out spiritual interest surveys. Then, in the afternoon, we met one-on-one with students, most often sophomores through seniors, who are returning to campus and were involved in Campus Crusade last year. Then, in the evening, we had Bible studies for students to get plugged in to. Needless to say, at the end of each day we were exhausted, but in a good, satisfying way. We’ll keep you posted on how the Lord continues to work in students’ lives on campus. We are so excited to be back in ministry again working with students and so THANKFUL for your prayers and support as we serve the Lord on IU’s campus!
